The Dos por Tres stove has been thoroughly researched, field and laboratory tested, and its benefits proven by some of the best organizations in the world, including: The Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, The Aprovecho Research Institute, and Zamorano University in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The Gold Standard also reviews all scientific results prior to awarding certification. Validation and Verification of Proyecto Mirador’s submission to the Gold Standard has been carried out by Det Norske Veritas and SGS, both UN Designated Operational Entities and independent engineering firm.
